Naperville open house set for Oct. 21.
A public house open house will be hosted by the City of Naperville on Oct. 21.
The open house will run from 5 to 8 p.m. in meeting rooms A and B of the municipal center, located at 400 S. Eagle St.
The event will feature an overview of the utility’s services and reliability record, as well as the department of public utilities electric staff, who will be available to answer questions.
The event is being held in conjunction and with consideration of the electric utility’s 2015 rate study, which will help guide the city in making the appropriate financial decisions for the utility through 2018. Rate studies use current data and trends to make predictions that will help utilities set their rates and determine any rate increases needed for the coming years.
The utility’s financials will be discussed by the city council at its upcoming workshop Monday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m., in council chambers.
The city of Naperville is governed by Mayor A. George Pradel and eight City Council members. Current members are Judy Brodhead, Steve Chirico, Robert W. Fieseler, Paul Hinterlong, Douglas Krause, Joseph J. McElroy, Kenn Miller and Grant E. Wehrli.
City Hall office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
