Take Care of Business Day set for next Tuesday

Ob

The Oak Brook Police Department and the Oak Brook Public Library will host Take Care of Business Day 2015 on Tuesday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event allows residents to learn more about local goods and services available to them.

This year's vendors include food tasting, chair massages, license renewals, blood pressure checks and local resources, among many others.

Representatives from the Secretary of State will be present to renew and correct driver’s licenses -- up to a year in advance -- along with conduct vision screening and written examinations.

Driving tests will not be available. Those requiring a road test must complete the test at a driver’s license facility. The necessary paperwork, vision screening or written exam may be completed at the mobile site, however.

License plate renewals can also be completed if the sticker’s expiration date is within 30 days before or 30 days after June 23. A current insurance card covering the vehicle being renewed must be furnished.
