The city of Warrenville will hold two public information meetings later this month on the draft wetland map, which is currently open for public comment through July 2.
The public meetings are slated for 2:30 p.m. June 23 in Room 3-5008 of the DuPage County Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Road; and 6 p.m. June 25 in the cafeteria of the administration building.
Public comments can be submitted online, emailed to stormwatermgmt@dupageco.org with the subject line "Wetland Map," or mailed to DuPage County Stormwater Management, Attn: Mary Beth Falsey, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
In 2012, DuPage County Stormwater Management received an $118,369 Wetland Program Development grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to update the county wetland map..
The wetland map initiative's aim is to provide residents, developers and businesses with updated wetland information throughout the county.
