The Wheaton Community Relations Commission is accepting nominations for the 2015 Good Citizens Award.
The award recognizes Wheaton citizens who have made extraordinary contributions to the community.
High school students, adults and groups can be nominated for the award, but they must be a current resident of Wheaton who has contributed to the well-being of the community.
To nominate someone, submit an online application form at www.wheaton.il.us/goodcitizen or email a completed nomination form to sbarrett-hagen@wheaton.il.us.
A paper copy of the application form also can be mailed to City Clerk, Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
Paper applications are available at the Wheaton Public Library, Wheaton Park District Community Center, leisure center and city hall.
The deadline for nominations is April 10.
The community relations commission will review the nominations and honor award recipients at the May 18 Wheaton City Council meeting.
