The Village of Oak Brook is accepting applications for its assistant finance director position.
The assistant finance director will assist the finance director in managing daily operations such as overseeing water billing, accounts payable, purchasing and payroll operations.
Those applying for the position must have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a closely related field; a minimum of four years' experience in accounting or finance; and two years of supervisory experience. Public accounting experience also is sought.
Applicants should possess motivation, the ability to verbally communicate across a wide audience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to think quickly and execute solid judgment. The applicant should be able to handle many situations tactfully and delegate work to staff members. Applicants must also have strong math skills; have a firm understanding of monitoring budgets, audits and other financial reports; and have experience with using Munis (Tyler Technlogies) and MS Office software programs.
The position pays $73,188-$99,020 annually with benefits.
