Report: West Chicago School District spent $15,917 per student in 2019-20
Spending per pupil at West Chicago Community High School District 94 was up 7.7 percent from five years ago, according to the DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.
The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $14,778 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,917 in 2019-20.
The district's enrollment fell from 2,012 to 1,954 students over the same period.
West Chicago's spending in 2019-20 was 9.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
