BodyThe Salt Institute has presented the Village of Hanover Park's Department of Public Works with the Safe and Sustainable Snowfighting award. The award recognizes the village for environmental consciousness and effective management in the storage of winter road salt. "We appreciate that our efforts to handle salt in an environmentally responsible way are being recognized," Scott Weber, street supervisor for Hanover Park, said.
