Itasca's 125th Celebration is on the books for Aug. 30. and will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Itaska Historical Depot Museum.
The sidewalk-replacement project in Itasca began on Wednesday. The Itasca Public Works Department will restore sidewalks and curbs in front of several Itasca homes, which have been marked as construction zones. The project is expected to take seven days.
The Village of Itasca has been closely following work by DuPage County, the Illinois State Water Survey (ISWS) and FEMA as they update the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for DuPage County.
ComEd will hold several open-house meetings in January to discuss a planned transmission line along the Elgin O'Hare Expressway through DuPage and Cook counties.
