ITASCA – Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and I recently toured Chicago Glue & Machine in Itasca, IL. After touring their facility and learning about their business, we presented them with the Employer Training Investment Program grant. The grant was facilitated by the Illinois Manufacturers Association on behalf of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
Illinois State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro’s calendar has been filled with meetings, tours, and events since she returned to the 48th District after spending months in Springfield for the legislative session. Since returning, she has made it her mission to get out into the District to touch base with residents, local leaders, and employers to ensure she provides them with effective representation when she is in Springfield.
CAROL STREAM, IL – A meeting was held with interns at the office to review their progress and experiences in the internship program. With approximately six weeks remaining, the session aimed to ensure that the interns are maximizing their learning opportunities.
PARIS – Illinois athletes are set to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Among the participants are Korbin Albert (football, Grayslake), Kamal Bey (wrestling, Oak Park), Kennedy Blades (wrestling, Broadview), Lauren Carlini (volleyball, Aurora), Peter Chatain (rowing, Winnetka), Aaron Cummings (rugby, Chicago), and Anthony Davis (basketball, Chicago). These athletes will represent the United States across various sports including gymnastics, swimming, track and field, and BMX racing.
The Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation is seeking 10 individuals to spotlight each day of the Illinois State Fair as an Illinoisan of the Day. The Illinoisan of the Day program aims to honor individuals who exemplify qualities and characteristics associated with Illinois, such as integrity, dependability, a sense of community, and strong ethics.
Members of State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro’s (R-Hanover Park) team participated in a check presentation for the City of Wood Dale, which has been awarded grant funds for the Addison Road Water Main Replacement Project. This critical infrastructure project, scheduled for Fiscal Year 2025, will enhance the reliability of Wood Dale’s water system, significantly reduce the need for unexpected repairs, and ensure the availability of safe drinking water for all residents.
The Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR) is reminding individuals with certain professional licenses currently up for renewal to start the renewal process before their license expires.
Rep. Sanalitro recently conducted a door-to-door campaign to inform residents about the services offered by his office. During this outreach, she met with constituents Gary and Carol, who expressed concerns about the cost of living and high taxes in Illinois.
Rep. Sanalitro attended a check presentation for the Village of Roselle, which delivered $500,000 in federal funding for improvements to their expanded municipal campus. The funds will be used in the construction of Petal Porch, Petal Promenade, and Petal Plaza – an open, green space in downtown Roselle for residents and visitors to enjoy. Plans also account for the space to be used by community groups while hosting various special events.

The initiative aims to collect donations of backpacks, pens, pencils, crayons, glue, tape, notebooks, and other school supplies to support local families and students in need.
