College of DuPage is a two-year community college in Glen Ellyn that serves 29,000 students from the main campus and facilities in Addison, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Naperville, West Chicago and Westmont. The school, begun in 1967, operates a public radio station and newspaper, and is noted for its departments in architecture and meteorology. Robert L. Breuder is the college's president.

The audit comes as a result of continuing questions about financial oversight at the College of DuPage, which is supported by property taxes, state appropriations and tuition,, that saw the board approve a nearly $763,000 severance package for school President Robert Breuder.
