Lamar baseball tops Tulane 9-5 as A.J. Taylor contributes 2 hits

Lamar Cardinals, featuring former Downers Grove South High School standout A.J. Taylor, secured a 9-5 victory over the Tulane Green Wave in NCAA Division I baseball on Tuesday, April 7, at 6:05 p.m.

Vincent-Beck Stadium hosted the game, marking the teams' first meeting of the season.

Taylor went two-for-five at the plate, scored two runs, drove in one run, struck out twice, and stranded one runner.

The Cardinals will play next on Friday, April 10, at Ben Meyer Diamond at Ray E. Didier Field against the Nicholls State Colonels.
