On Friday, July 3, at 7:35 p.m., the Nashville Sounds, the current team of former Hinsdale Central High School standout Jon Adams, beat the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 5-4 in a minor league game.
The game took place at First Horizon Park. It was the 11th meeting between the teams this season, with the Sounds holding a 6-5 advantage in the season series.
Adams went hitless in two at-bats, scored one run and left two runners on base.
The Sounds' next game is scheduled for Sunday, July 5, at First Horizon Park against the Nashville Sounds.
