Illinois Wesleyan ranks 18th in latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll
Illinois Wesleyan University has been ranked 18th in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll, as announced on Monday. The new rankings come after the Titans began their College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) schedule with two consecutive away games.
Last Wednesday, Illinois Wesleyan secured an 85-81 overtime victory against Carthage, who were the preseason favorites. However, they faced a setback on Saturday with a 68-57 loss at North Central. The team's current overall record stands at 6-2.
The top four positions in the national poll remain unchanged. Trinity (Conn.) holds the number one spot, receiving 24 out of 25 first-place votes. Randolph-Macon, Wisconsin-La Crosse, WashU, and Mary Washington complete the top five teams in this week's rankings.
