Cost of college went up for all students at Elmhurst College

Tuition and fees rose 1.9 percent for 2018-19 at Elmhurst College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $37,055 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $685 more than the $36,370 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 497 students received grants or scholarships totaling $11.6 million and 359 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.6 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,426), 2,785 students used grants or scholarships totaling $60.8 million, and 2,385 students took out $17.1 million in federal student loans.
