Sean Thomas Casten was born on November 23, 1971, in Dublin, Ireland. Growing up, he moved to the United States with his family and eventually settled in Wheaton, IL. Casten's upbringing instilled in him a strong sense of community and a passion for environmental stewardship. In his adult life, he pursued a career in renewable energy and became a prominent figure in the field of clean energy advocacy. Through his leadership, Casten founded and led successful clean energy businesses, contributing to advancements in sustainable technology. His dedication to combating climate change and promoting clean energy solutions led him to run for public office. In 2018, Casten was elected as the U.S. Representative for Illinois's 6th congressional district, which includes Wheaton. As a congressman, he has been a vocal advocate for policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions and investing in renewable energy infrastructure. Casten's ties to Wheaton remain strong, and his continued efforts to address environmental issues have made a significant impact on the community and beyond.
