CCIW men’s swimming & diving teams report strong starts to 2025–26 season
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men's swimming and diving teams have completed the opening months of the 2025–26 season, with several programs and athletes posting notable performances in both dual meets and invitationals.
Augustana began its campaign with a 2-3 record in dual meets, securing wins over Loras and Monmouth, as well as claiming the team title at the IWU Halloween Invite. The Vikings also finished third at the Luther Invitational. Augustana's relay teams have recorded some of the fastest times in the conference, including second place in both the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:24.64) and 800-yard freestyle relay (7:04.43). Individual swimmers such as Bjorn Sievert and Luke Rettig have achieved top CCIW marks; Sievert currently leads in the 50-yard freestyle (20.94), while Rettig is fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (51.46).
Carroll University opened its season with strong efforts, including a home win over Millikin and a relay victory against MSOE. The Pioneers placed sixth at the Carthage Classic to close out their semester. Jacob Rossi led Carroll’s sprint group with wins in multiple events, while freshman Mannon Stern won distance races such as the 1650-yard freestyle.
Carthage has established itself among conference leaders through December by holding several top times in relays, including first place in the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:02.96). Tyson Politsch leads CCIW individual rankings for both breaststroke distances, while AJ Landorf tops marks for individual medley events.
Illinois Wesleyan started its season by placing fourth at its home Halloween Invite and later earned a dual win over North Central. At Beloit Midseason Invitational, IWU finished third overall and collected seven event wins on one day of competition. Relay squads anchored by Jay Jenkins contributed to two victories at Beloit.
Millikin University closed out fall competition with a series of duals and invitational appearances, highlighted by a home win over North Central. Graduate student Dawsen Loafman led Millikin’s sprint group with multiple victories; Msanaa Bosland added additional wins across different strokes.
North Central participated in various invitationals during early-season action, finishing third at Millikin Triangular and second at Beloit Double Dual. Junior Mihir Chandra led scoring for North Central with wins in sprint free and breaststroke events.
Wheaton College ended its fall schedule with a third-place finish at its own invitational after facing Division I Milwaukee earlier this season. Isaac Eilmes delivered two event wins on the final day of Wheaton’s invite—1,650-yard freestyle and 400 IM—and holds league-leading times across several distance events. Ben Coley posted top times for Wheaton’s sprints.
As winter competition resumes next month, CCIW men’s swimming & diving teams continue to demonstrate depth across relays and individual events throughout their rosters.
