Tess Boyer from Wheaton College and Mae Norman from Carthage College have been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athletes of the Week following their performances in recent competitions.

Boyer, a junior at Wheaton, competed at the Illinois-Michigan Quad Meet on Saturday. She won two individual events and set a new pool record at Kalamazoo. Boyer finished first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:25.97, breaking the previous pool record by .37 seconds and finishing nearly five seconds ahead of her competitors. She also secured victory in the 200 freestyle with a personal best time of 1:55.96, which is currently the second-fastest time recorded in the conference this season. In addition to these achievements, Boyer contributed a 57.60 split during the butterfly leg for Wheaton’s 400 medley relay team.

On the diving side, Mae Norman, also a junior and hailing from Clarkston, Michigan, achieved personal-best scores on both boards during Carthage’s dual meet against Illinois Tech last Saturday. Norman posted a career-high score of 160.60 on the 1-meter board and followed that with another personal best score of 158.20 on the 3-meter board.

The CCIW continues to recognize top performers weekly throughout its women’s swimming and diving season as athletes reach new milestones and contribute to their teams’ successes.
