Benedictine University, located in Lisle, Illinois, disbursed $1,052,220 in athletically related financial aid during the year 2024, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
A total of 297 male and 210 female student-athletes participated in one or more sports teams at Benedictine University in 2024. Male student-athletes received 35.3% more financial aid compared to their female counterparts.
The university’s athletically related financial aid decreased by 15.1% in 2024 compared with the previous year.

College athletics has entered a new era of athlete compensation after a federal settlement allowed schools to directly share revenue with players for the first time.
