GLEN ELLYN – Heidi Holan, who is vying to represent the 46th District in the Illinois House, is one of 16 GOP state legislative candidates backing a proposed bill that would allow Chicago voters to recall Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
BARTLETT — Republican State Senate candidate Seth Lewis supports House Bill (H.B.) 4356 to recall Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, but said such a proposal should apply beyond the Windy City, to all elected officials in Illinois.
Potential code changes related to video gaming are among agenda items facing the Village of Westmont’s Planning and Zoning Commission, which has scheduled an open meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy Street, on the second floor. The meeting is open to the public.
Since June 2014, the nation’s largest job losses were in Illinois, which lost 7,500 positions in June 2015, the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Labor said. The state gaining the most jobs over the past year was New York, which added 25,500 new jobs in June.
