DuPage GOP chair says get busy on primary petitions

Office6(1000)

DuPage County Republican Party Chairman Brian Krajewski is calling on area Republicans to help candidates get the signatures they need on their petitions for the 2018 primary ballots.

According to the group's newsletter, the petitions are being circulated for county office seekers. Krajewski told area Republicans to encourage their family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to sign petitions for the area's candidates, which can be done online.

Krajewski also commended the efforts of House Minority Leader Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs) in getting a compromise school funding reform bill that includes school choice passed and signed into law.

“School is back in session and another summer has come to an end,” Krajewski said in the release. “A big thanks goes to House GOP Leader Jim Durkin who was a key player in passing the education funding reform bill. While this deal isn't perfect (no compromise ever is), enacting school choice for the first time in Illinois history is a conservative victory. Property tax relief in wealthier districts and the repeal of unfunded mandates were included.”
