City of Aurora Civil Service Commission met February 16.

Chairman Wood opened the meeting at 4:06 p.m.

Vice Chairman Powell motioned for the Commission to go into executive session at 4:08 pm. to review Fire candidate psychological and Police candidate backgrounds. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Oelker motioned for the Commission to come out of executive session at 5:24 pm. Vice Chairman Powell seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Oelker motioned to approve the February 2, 2017 meeting minutes. Chairman Wood seconded. Motion passed.

Chairman Wood motioned to table the approval of February 2017 payroll to the next meeting. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion passed.

Vice Chairman Powell motioned to pass 2016 Fire Private Eligibility list candidates Brian Phelps, Tony Browning, James Aagesen, Jacob Mackey, Robert Gill, Jamnik Jamieson, Zachary Gloodt, Adam Thruman, David Benge, Joseph Long, Caleb Byerhof, Anthony Lemke, Albert Collins, Vincent Romandine, Nicholas Cadena, Tyler Riemenschneider, Steve Coomes, Mark Mammoser and Brett McKillip to the next step in the selection process due to the results of the psychological examination. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion passed.

Vice Chairman Powell motioned to pass 2016 Police Officer Eligibility list candidates Eric Garcia and Johnathan Henderson to the next step in the selection process due to the results of the background investigation. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion passed.

Vice Chairman Powell motioned to pass police cadet Matthew Hill to the next step in the selection process due to the results of the background investigation. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion passed.

Vice Chairman Powell motioned to strike 2016 Fire Private Eligibility list candidate Bradley Christensen, Brandon Gudovitz, and Collin O’Neil from the eligibility list due to the results of the psychological examination. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion passed.

Vice Chairman Powell motioned to strike 2016 Police Officer Eligibility list candidates Michael Gilio and Larry Olsen from the eligibility list due to the results of the background investigation. Commissioner Oelker seconded. Motion passed.

Miscellaneous Items were reviewed

Commissioner Oelker motioned, seconded by Vice Chairman Powell to adjourn the meeting at 5:36 p.m. Motion passed.
