Mark Rice, the candidate for Illinois' Eighth Congressional District, has raised concerns about the border security of the United States. According to Rice, "Radical Raja Krishnamoorthi sits on the CCP and US relations Committee and is allowing all these Chinese trespassing foreign nationals to cross the open border he and his corrupt party advocate for." The candidate, who will compete against Raja Krishnamoorthi in the general election, cited a report from Disclose.TV indicating a 7,000% increase in border crossings by Chinese nationals.

"Radical Raja Krishnamoorthi sits on the CCP and US relations Committee and is allowing all these Chinese trespassing foreign nationals to cross the open border he and his corrupt party advocate for," said Rice, according to Facebook. "Allowing the open border invasion by anyone and everyone is proof Raja is a communist and not for America."

The Disclose.TV report that Rice referenced is derived from an opinion piece on Fox News. This article stated: "Border Patrol captured 342 Chinese crossing the border in 2021. This year, it’s 24,296 in just six months."

Jeremy Hunt of Fox News authored this opinion piece. Hunt said that no one except China seems to understand why there has been a surge of 7,000 percent in illegal crossings by Chinese nationals at the southern border since 2021.

Hunt expressed his views further: "One might think that given the unique threat the Chinese Communist Party poses to the United States, our Department of Homeland Security would intently interrogate some of these migrants to understand why they’re here. Such a dramatic change in the number of migrants from our greatest adversary should warrant detailed reports and thorough investigations. But like any other spinoff crisis related to the border, there is little indication that the Biden administration will address it anytime soon." He also suggested that US intelligence agencies should be interested in this development and pointed out that instructional videos used by Chinese migrants for border crossings "are controlled and closely monitored by the Chinese Communist Party."
