The College of DuPage (CoD) won the inaugural Red Grange Bowl, defeating previously undefeated Central Lakes College (CLC) 25-22 in overtime last month in Glen Ellyn.

The Chaparrals' Casey Bednarski kicked a field goal in overtime to win the game. That stopped a rally by the Raiders, who scored 12 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Marcus Jester had 144 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, according to www.njcaa.org, while Evan Scales had two rushing touchdowns. As a team, CoD had 229 rushing yards to 80 for CLC.

For the Raiders, quarterback Mike Tveitbakk was 25-of-41 passing for 298 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Defensively, Shane Ratkovich led the Chaparrals with 11 total tackles, including two tackles for losses. The CoD defense had four takeaways.

The Chaparrals ended the season with a 6-5 record, while the Raiders were 11-1.
