College of DuPage cross-country teams compete at NJCAA finals

Marco Martinez's top-30 individual finish highlighted the College of DuPage's (CoD) showing at the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I national cross-country championship recently in El Dorado, Kansas.

According to njcaa.org, Martinez finished 29th in a time of 26 minutes, 2.6 seconds. Also for CoD, Logan Fraker was 151st, at 28:11.40, Trevor Nold was 175th at 28:27.31, Torrain Haughton was 191st at 28:43.79, Bradley Wilcoxen was 212th at 29:12.42, Henry Duhl was 223rd at 29:34.67, and John Walker was 246th at 30:37.56.

The Chaparrals' men's team finished 26th in the team standings.

In the women's division, CoD's Amanda Jones was 90th at 20:13.81, Fatima Chaudry was 110th at 20:30.61, Liz Alcantara was 132nd at 20:43.18, Cristal Alcantara was 163rd at 21:13.26, Kenia Sanchez was 177th at 21:24, Sarah Volle was 237th at 22:28.09 and Yeniffer Ortiz was 260th at 23:21.08.

The CoD women's team finished 18th overall.
