Youth job fair in Carol Stream offers career opportunities for young adults

Students and young adults from 16 to 21 years old are being offered an opportunity to explore career prospects and gain experience through a Summer Job Fair organized by State Senator Seth Lewis. The event, scheduled for April 24, is set to take place in Carol Stream. State Representatives Amy Grant and Jennifer Sanalitro will co-host the event.

“Summer is right around the corner, and many high school and college students are looking for ways to build their skills and gain experience,” said Rep. Jennifer Sanalitro. She highlighted the fair as a beneficial occasion for students to investigate career paths and improve their resumes.

The event details are as follows: Senator Lewis’ Summer Job Fair with Representatives Grant and Sanalitro will be held on a Thursday, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carol Stream Park District located at 910 N. Gary Ave, Carol Stream.

Numerous local businesses that are currently hiring for summer jobs, year-round positions, and internships will be present at the event. The fair aims to facilitate businesses in building talent pipelines for entry-level positions and networking with other businesses to enhance regional visibility.

“Those who attend are encouraged to dress for success and be prepared for on-site interviews,” said Sen. Lewis. The event is designed to connect ambitious job seekers with potential employers, aiding young individuals in career initiation while addressing staffing needs.
