On Friday, May 16, former Wheaton Warrenville South High School standout Mackenzie Sowonik’s current collegiate team the Christopher Newport Captains lost 3-4 against the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Captains Park at 11 a.m. and was the first matchup against the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets in the tournament.

The Christopher Newport Captains’ next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 4:15 p.m. at Captains Park.
