On Saturday, Dec. 6, former Wheaton Academy standout Andrew Laplant’s current collegiate team the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks lost 29-52 against the Ferris State Bulldogs in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The game took place at Top Taggart Field at 1 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Ferris State Bulldogs in the tournament.
