Campaign committees in West Chicago collectively owe a total of $65,309 in overdue fees, records obtained by the Dupage Policy Journal show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that three committees in West Chicago were delinquent in payment for January 2017.

The West Chicago-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Citizens to Elect David J. Sabathne, which owes a total of $37,475.

The committee has been fined repeatedly for a late quarterly report.
