Wheaton’s Jonah Swartz was named the CCIW Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive time on Wednesday. Swartz accomplished this after scoring eight-under par at Lake Forest’s Forester Spring Invite last weekend.
In the competition, Swartz secured second place overall, marking his third top-two finish in the current season. He achieved a six-under-par 66 in the initial round on Friday, followed by a 70 on Saturday, resulting in a total score of 136 over the two rounds held at Countryside Golf Club in Mundelein, Illinois.
The 2024-25 CCIW Men’s Golf Student-Athletes of the Week have been announced, spotlighting Jonah Swartz from Wheaton on both April 23 and April 16, Raj Sethi from Illinois Wesleyan on April 9, Griffin Pohl from Illinois Wesleyan on March 26, October 16, and October 2, Tanner Angelstad from Carthage on September 25, Mitchell Mazzei from North Central on September 18, Felix Pettersson from North Park on September 11, and Virgile Gruny from Millikin on September 4.
