Illinois Wesleyan University’s women’s volleyball team has held onto the sixth spot in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)/TARAFLEX Division III national poll, which was released on Tuesday. The Titans have an overall record of 18 wins and 2 losses after participating in the Blugold Alumni Weekend Invitational last weekend.

During the invitational, Illinois Wesleyan lost a close five-set match to seventh-ranked Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with the final set ending 21-19. The team rebounded by defeating Cornell and Wisconsin-Stevens Point in matches played on Saturday.

Within College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) competition, Illinois Wesleyan remains undefeated with a 5-0 conference record. The Titans most recently defeated North Central in three sets at the Shirk Center.

La Verne continues to lead the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division III poll, earning 69 out of 86 first-place votes for a total of 2,133 points. East Texas Baptist is ranked second with 16 first-place votes, followed by Wisconsin-Oshkosh in third place.
