A Disabilities Job Fair was held last month at the Carol Stream Park District, bringing together job seekers, families, employers, and advocates to focus on employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The event aimed to reduce barriers to employment and foster connections between attendees and potential employers.

According to organizers, there was significant participation from both the community and local businesses. The fair was described as an opportunity to build confidence among job seekers with disabilities and promote accessibility in workforce strategies.

Organizers expressed appreciation to the Carol Stream Park District for hosting the event, as well as to the organizations, businesses, and volunteers involved. "Together, we’re showing what’s possible when we put accessibility at the center of our workforce strategy!" one statement read.

Jennifer Sanalitro has represented Illinois' 48th House District since 2023 after succeeding Terra Costa Howard. Sanalitro is a Republican who was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023.
