Illinois Wesleyan University sophomore Gigi Zera has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement was made by the CCIW on Wednesday.

Zera was recognized for her performance at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Fall Invite, which took place on September 29 and 30 at TPC Wisconsin. She finished in fourth place overall, recording a score of 77 in the first round and a one-over 73 in the final round. The fourth-place result marks her fourth top-five finish in her collegiate career. Her final round score of 73 also matches her career-low for an 18-hole round, a mark she has achieved four times this fall. Zera led Illinois Wesleyan to a third-place finish as a team.

The CCIW also listed previous recipients of its weekly honor for women’s golf this season:
