North Central College junior Nolan Crooks has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in men’s cross country, according to an announcement from the conference office on Tuesday.
Crooks, who is from Downers Grove, Illinois, led his team to a perfect score at the Skyhawk Invitational held in Dixon, Illinois, last Saturday. He finished first in the 8K race with a time of 26:04.
The CCIW also listed previous winners of the weekly award for the 2025 season. Crooks joins other honorees including Jacob Curulewski from Carthage (Sept. 23), Ari Elmayan from North Central (Sept. 16), BJ Sorg from North Central (Sept. 9), and David Valkanov from Elmhurst (Sept. 3).
