City of Elmhurst Public Works & Buildings Committee met Sept. 8

Ald. Bastedo called the meeting to order at 6:30p.m.

5. Business Before the Committee:

A. Minutes of the August 25, 2025, Public Works & Building Committee:

Ald. Bram motioned to approve the August 25, 2025 Minutes of the Public Works & Building Committee; Ald. Baker seconded Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Bram, Baker, Irby). Minutes approved.

B. 2026 CEB Discussion

Public Works Director Balicki, Asst. Public Works Director Tiberi and City Engineer Sianis presented the agenda item.

C. Crestview Avenue Sidewalk Project:

City Engineer Sianis presented the agenda item. Ald. Irby motioned to approve the amended draft report; Ald. Bram seconded.  Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Bram, Baker, Irby)  Amended Report approved.

D. NICOR Phase 0 MOP Line Replacement - Rider 7 Watermain Replacement:

City Engineer Sianis presented the agenda item. Ald. Irby motioned to approve the amended draft report; Ald. Baker seconded.  Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Bram, Baker, Irby)  Amended Report approved.

6. Other Business: None

• The 9/22/25 Committee meeting will start at 6:30pm.

• Ald. Bram requested an update on the tollway/North Avenue work.

• Ald. Baker asked about Wilder Park – Southside trees; the hole in the street at 400 Park Ave and North Avenue entrance to I-290-Soundwall.
