Illinois Wesleyan senior Aidan Healy has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement follows Healy’s performance at the Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite, where he finished as runner-up.
Healy recorded a 36-hole score of 144, matching his career-best. His opening round was a one-under 70, and he finished with a final round one-over 72. This result marks the highest tournament finish of his collegiate career.
According to the CCIW, “Healy was IWU’s top finisher and recorded a 36-hole score of 144, which tied his career-best, beginning with an opening round, one-under, 70.” The statement added: “After battling closely for the individual title the final 18 holes, Healy ultimately claimed runner-up honors with a final round one-over, 72, marking the highest finish of his career. Healy led the Titans ‘B’ squad to a runner-up finish, as the Illinois Wesleyan ‘A’ team took the tournament title.”
The CCIW also listed other recent recipients of its weekly men’s golf honor: Myles Lahart from Illinois Wesleyan (Sept. 17), Bo Smith from Elmhurst (Sept. 10), and Trevor Biggerstaff from Millikin (Sept. 3).
