Maureen Harty Executive Director | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois
Augustana College’s Sarah Bond has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement was made on Wednesday.
Bond, a junior from El Paso, Illinois, led her team to victory at last Tuesday’s CCIW Preview held at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Illinois. She shot a one-over-par 72 and secured the individual title for the event. Her performance contributed to Augustana winning the overall team title.
The CCIW recognizes top women’s golf student-athletes weekly during the season. Previous honorees for September include Gigi Zera from Illinois Wesleyan (Sept. 17), Lexi Manteufel from Carthage (Sept. 10), and Lauren Reinertson from Augustana (Sept. 3).
