Adriana Crabtree, a senior at Illinois Wesleyan University, has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week for women's cross country. This is Crabtree's third weekly award from the league in 2025.
Crabtree secured first place at the Spartanburg Pre-National Meet held last Saturday at Roger Milliken Center, which will also host the 2025 Division III Cross Country National Championship. She completed the 6K course with a time of 21:47.6.
Crabtree finished nine seconds ahead of Riley Capuano from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, who was a top-20 finisher at last year's national championship. "Crabtree was strong down the final stretch, pulling away from runner-up Riley Capuano of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, a top-20 finisher at last year's national championship, and ultimately winning by nine seconds."
This recent honor marks Crabtree’s fourth career weekly recognition from the CCIW.
The list of CCIW Women's Cross Country Student-Athletes of the Week in September includes Molly Roberts from Elmhurst and three awards to Crabtree on September 3, September 16, and September 23.
