Gigi Zera of Illinois Wesleyan University has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week following her performance at the IWU Fall Classic. Zera recorded consecutive rounds of one-over 73 at Ironwood Golf Course, tying her career-best 18-hole score and improving her best 36-hole total by seven strokes.
Zera’s results led Illinois Wesleyan to a three-stroke victory over DePauw, marking the first time the Titans have won the IWU Fall Classic since its inception in 2000.
The CCIW also recognized Lexi Manteufel from Carthage on September 10 and Lauren Reinertson from Augustana on September 3 as Women’s Golf Student-Athletes of the Week.
