Lexi Manteufel, a sophomore at Carthage, has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement follows her performance at the Wartburg Fall Invitational in Waverly, Iowa, where she finished second overall.
Manteufel, who was recognized as last season’s CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year, recorded consecutive even-par rounds of 72 during the tournament. This achievement marks her third straight even-par round over two tournaments. Her play contributed to Carthage securing fifth place among 21 teams in the event.
The CCIW also noted that Lauren Reinertson of Augustana was honored as the Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week for September 3.
