Elmhurst golfer Bo Smith set a new school record with a 36-hole score of 139 at the Delaware Country Club Shootout last Friday. His performance earned him the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week honor for men’s golf, announced Wednesday.
Smith was the top individual at the event hosted by IU East in Muncie, Indiana. He recorded an opening-round score of 69 and followed with a second-round 70. These rounds are now the second and third-lowest individual scores in Elmhurst program history. Smith’s efforts contributed to Elmhurst finishing second as a team.
The CCIW also recognized Trevor Biggerstaff from Millikin as Student-Athlete of the Week on September 3.
