State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) is organizing an event with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office and State Senator Seth Lewis to help residents identify and claim unclaimed property held by the state. The ICASH Unclaimed Property Day will be held on Wednesday, August 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Warrenville Park District, located at 3S260 Warren Avenue in Warrenville.

Attendees can meet with counselors from the Treasurer’s Office for assistance in searching the state’s ICASH database and filing claims for assets that may belong to them. According to Rep. Grant, “This is a fast, simple, and completely free opportunity for residents to see if the state is holding money or property in their name,” said Rep. Grant. “Many people are surprised to find unclaimed funds from old bank accounts, forgotten paychecks, or even inheritances they didn’t know about. It’s definitely worth taking a few minutes to check.”

The event is open to all members of the public without charge.

Grant was elected as a Republican representative for Illinois’ 47th House District in 2023, succeeding Deanne Mazzochi.

For further details about the event, individuals can contact Rep. Grant’s district office at 331-218-4182 or email [email protected].
