State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R–Hanover Park) has expressed her support for a resolution urging Illinois public colleges and universities to maintain and expand night courses and programs. This initiative aims to aid working adults, parents, and nontraditional students.

“For many Illinoisans, night classes aren’t just helpful—they’re essential,” said Rep. Sanalitro. “These programs make it possible for people to balance work, family, and education. We need to protect them.”

Night programs provide flexible options for individuals who work during the day, manage family responsibilities, or return to education later in life. Sanalitro stressed the importance of making higher education accessible beyond standard daytime hours.

“I urge our state to prioritize these programs, shield them from budget cuts, and recognize the critical role they play in opening doors to opportunity,” Sanalitro added.
