Students and young adults aged 16-21 seeking summer work, internships, or a career jumpstart are invited to attend a free Summer Job Fair. The event will be hosted by State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) on April 24 in Carol Stream, with State Representatives Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) and Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) co-hosting.
“With summer coming up fast, students are searching for meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience,” stated Rep. Amy Grant. “This job fair gives young people the chance to build their skills, boost their confidence, and strengthen their resumes for future college and job applications.”
The Summer Job Fair is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carol Stream Park District, located at 910 N. Gary Ave, Carol Stream. Several businesses in the area will attend, providing opportunities for summer employment, year-round positions, and internships.
Sen. Lewis emphasized the importance of preparation for attendees: “Those who attend are encouraged to dress for success and be prepared for on-site interviews. By connecting eager job seekers with area employers, young people can jumpstart their careers and businesses can tap local talent for hard-to-fill positions and other job vacancies.”
There are still booths available for businesses that want to participate in this event. Interested parties should contact Abby via [email protected], and questions about the job fair can be directed to Abby or Senator Lewis’ legislative office at (630) 349-0645.
