State Representative Amy Grant from Wheaton is urging drivers in DuPage County to exercise caution during National Work Zone Awareness Week. Her message underscores the significance of prioritizing safety for both road workers and motorists.
“Road work is essential for improving our roads and keeping infrastructure strong, but it also comes with risks,” said Rep. Grant. “Every cone, sign, and barrier is there to protect lives. We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe.”
The Representative highlighted the need for extra attention in work zones, advising reduced speeds and responsible driving as construction activities increase. She advises drivers to be patient and alert to reduce the risk of accidents.
“Let’s do our part to protect the men and women who work hard to improve our roads—and protect ourselves and our passengers, too,” added Grant.
