State Representative Amy Grant (il) | Representative Amy L. Grant (R) 47th District
State Representative Amy Grant has announced that the Illinois State Fire Marshal has allocated $4 million in Small Equipment Grants to 178 fire departments and EMS providers throughout Illinois.
“This funding helps our local first responders get the tools they need to stay safe and save lives,” said Rep. Grant.
The grants, with a maximum of $26,000 each, aim to equip departments with necessary items such as protective gear and breathing equipment. The program particularly assists smaller departments that may face funding challenges.
Among the beneficiaries in Grant's 47th House District are the Warrenville Fire Protection District and Wheaton Fire Department.
“I’m proud to support programs that invest in the safety of our communities,” Grant added.
