Downers Grove Trustee candidate Paul Drabik is holding a “Save Our Suburbs” town hall meeting on Thursday, March 27, from 7-10 p.m. at the American Legion Post 80, located at 4000 Saratoga Avenue in Downers Grove.

The event will focus on key issues affecting the community and offer an opportunity to network, share information and take action.

“Boys in girls locker rooms, sex books in kids section of libraries, teacher pedophiles, free speech violations in local government,” a social media post advertising the event reads.

“When is enough enough? It is time to take back our communities. We are going to build a coalition. Bring your success stories and information on your group or work. Let's talk about solutions AND NEXT STEPS.”

Organizers are urging residents to come together and discuss solutions for these challenges while building a coalition of like-minded citizens.

“We will network, we will get out the vote, we will tell our stories. Candidates welcome. Let's take back our communities,” a flyer promoting the event reads. “Activist groups please come and share your information. The event is open to all members of the community.

“We are building a coalition of concerned citizens,” the flyer reads. Candidates for local office are also invited to participate. Attendees will be asked to provide contact information at the door.

A cash bar will be available at the event.

Drabik is campaigning for a seat of Downers Grove Village Council on a platform of accountability, fiscal responsibility and transparency.

A combat veteran and conservative activist who co-hosts the Behind Enemy Lines podcast and writes for the Gateway Pundit, Drabik became involved in local politics during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he criticized government mandates and became an outspoken voice on issues such as local government spending and the controversial actions of the Downers Grove Library.

His campaign emphasizes concerns over government bureaucracy, the library’s management, and the impact of illegal immigration on local resources.
