Rep. Sean Casten, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 6th district since 2019, has recently shared his views on various topics through social media posts. Casten, who succeeded Peter Roskam in Congress and resides in Downers Grove, Illinois, has been vocal about issues ranging from national security to women's history.

On March 21, 2025, Rep. Casten criticized the Trump Administration for lifting sanctions against a company linked to North Korea's cyber activities. He expressed concern that this action would facilitate North Korea's nuclear weapons development. "The Trump Administration just lifted sanctions against a company at the heart of North Korea's ability to hack crypto funds to finance their nuclear weapons arsenal." He further questioned Secretary Bessent's actions and their implications for global security.

On March 24, 2025, Rep. Casten highlighted Women's History Month by collaborating with the Lombard Historical Society to discuss his Period PROUD Act and celebrate Ellen Martin's achievements as the first woman voter in Illinois. "March is Women’s History Month. I appreciated the opportunity to partner with the Lombard Historical Society to discuss my Period PROUD Act and the remarkable accomplishments of Ellen Martin."

Later that day, Rep. Casten reiterated his concerns regarding national security under the Trump Administration. He accused Trump's appointees of compromising national safety for personal reputation management."The Trump Administration's recklessness has put our national security at risk."
