North Central College is favored to secure its eighth consecutive first-place finish at the upcoming College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship. The event will take place this Friday and Saturday in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

A pre-championship poll conducted among league head coaches placed North Central at the top, with the team receiving eight first-place votes and a total of 64 points. The Cardinals are currently ranked 11th in the USTFCCCA Division III ratings index, making them the only CCIW team to appear in the top 25. Since 2001, North Central has claimed all but one of the CCIW indoor titles.

Illinois Wesleyan University secured second place in the poll with one first-place vote and 55 points. Last season, they tied for second place and are now ranked ninth in the Midwest Region.

Augustana College was picked third, while Carthage College and Millikin University shared fourth place. Carthage will host this weekend's championship meet at their Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.

The men's competition begins on Friday at 10:45 a.m., starting with the heptathlon. Events continue on Saturday from 9:30 a.m., concluding with an awards ceremony scheduled for approximately 5:45 p.m.

Admission prices are set at $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for seniors, students, and children aged six to fourteen. Children five years old or younger can attend free of charge. Current students from any CCIW institution can also gain free entry by presenting a student ID.
