The request was made by DuPage Policy Journal, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, on January 13, 2025.
The request specifically asked for the number of "migrants" (e.g., illegal aliens/non-U.S. citizens) currently enrolled in the school district. As a part of their professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, DuPage Policy Journal believes they are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
