When the Illinois General Assembly reconvenes in Springfield on January 4, 2025, it will mark the beginning of a "lame duck" session. During this period, elected officials who will not return for the next General Assembly have the opportunity to vote on new legislation.

Concerns have been raised about past sessions where significant bills were passed during this time. Critics argue that some of these bills were among the most controversial enacted by Illinois politicians and Democrats.

The sentiment expressed is clear: "Illinois residents deserve better. Say No to Lame Duck Democrats."
